Seashells of Prosperity Orange Kumquat Cake (SOLD OUT)
Seashells of Prosperity Orange Kumquat Cake (SOLD OUT)
SOLD OUT . JOIN WAITING LIST here.
If you had tried our “Hey Minty Gingey” Gingerbread Cookie Cake from our Xmas menu and enjoyed its unique texture, you’ll certainly enjoy our Seashells of Prosperity Orange Kumquat Cake.
It was hard to fix its category but I decided to place it under “cake”. Unlike usual fluffy cakes, this is chewy, fudgey and also cakey depending on which area you bite into, which is also the fun part ;p
As always, we emphasise on using natural whole foods and so, we obtain the orange juice by squeezing each orange manually instead of using store bought juice or orange flavoured essence. To enhance the texture and flavour, we mixed in orange bits and dried kumquat bits into our batter and aged it for 100hours, with extra dried kumquat slices added into every seashell before baking. We then coat it with a layer of our CLASSICO dark choco before glamming it up with some glitzy gold dust. The result: A refreshing, tangy and citrusy (not sour) flavour that screams “Spring is here” ;)
Kumquat is not mandarin orange. In Chinese culture, it symbolises good luck and prosperity. Its botanical name is Fortunella - how apt! It is high in vitamin C and A, fibre, antioxidants and calcium. In TCM, it helps to regulate the flow of Qi (energy), relieves stress, aids in digestion and removal of phlegm and is good for our lungs.
Made entirely with natural plant based whole foods such as gluten free oats, rice flour, organic coconut sugar, EV olive oil, orange and kumquat, our healthy Seashells of Prosperity are vegan, allergen friendly and suitable for kids too.
Each box comes with 6 seashells (approx 300g)
