In Asia, Bénédictine D.O.M liqueur has been regarded for decades as a healthy tonic wine, one that is said to be especially good for women. Hence, the name “Bonne Santé” for this special chocolate which means “Good Health” in French.

This ultra limited edition chocolate has been in the works since July 2020. I soaked the cocoa in Bénédictine D.O.M liqueur for over a year before drying it thoroughly, grinding together with cocoa butter and organic coconut sugar for 30ish hours making into cocoa liquor then ageing it for several weeks before slowly caramelising it on the stove, turning them into this chewy, smokey and incredibly addictive unique tasting caramelised cocoa bits. They are added into and atop our 80% dark chocolate.

This choco was described as “Complex”, “Different”, “Smokey”, “Gets better with every bite” by early testers. It is certainly one-of-a-kind that can’t be found anywhere else.

Each chocolate comes in a nice paper box, secured with diagonal bow - saves you the extra trouble of wrapping; super perfect for gifting! :)

If you’re concerned about alcohol content, all the alcohol would have evaporated during the drying, grinding and caramelising processes.
