With freshly hand squeezed lemon juice added into the cookie batter and dried kumquat that I cut into bite size strips, this chockie is zesty and tart but not overly sour. If you need something to keep you awake, this flavor is definitely a pick-me-up! As always, I never skimp on the amount of chocolate in each cookie. My CLASSICO dark chocolate made by stone grinding ethically sourced Filipino cocoa (>30h) is a good complement with its red fruit/wine taste profile.
