Holy moly, 73% of Singaporeans are sleep deprived!!*

… and I’m of them too hahaha. As someone who has witnessed the effects of sleep deprivation on herself, I could firmly attest to how important sleep is! I’m also happy to finally present to y’all this limited edition flavor that I've been working on for 2 years.

The main heros of this TCM flavor are Snow Chrysanthemum and Dried Longan which help to combat insomnia. Snow chrysanthemum might be unfamiliar to many because it is indeed a rare flower that only blooms once a year in high altitudes on the Kunlun Mountains in Xinjiang, China. Snow chrysanthemum has so many health benefits, it is regarded as an elixir by the Uyghurs. Apart from aiding in sleep quality, it is also great for detox and digestion, high blood pressure, diabetes, inflammation of respiratory system, our eyes, our heart, our skin, etc. Dried longan is rich in iron and protein, helps with anti-aging, calm our senses, improves our memory, etc….

How does snow chrysanthemum taste like? It is not as delicately floral as the usual chrysanthemum. It is a little herbal, woody, earthy and reminds me of plums esp dried figs (wu hua guo). It has a calming effect - imagine being in a spa massage sesh with soothing music and scented with nice essential oil - that’s how I feel whenever I take a bite! Dried longan adds a little more texture/bite and sweetness to the chocolate.

This is my FAVORITE choco of the season. I highly recommend to try! :)
